Journal Scope
The Rojava Journal of Science and Technology is a bilingual (English and Kurmanji), peer reviewed, open access, international journal which publishes high quality original research, short reports or letters, review articles, case studies, methodologies or method papers in areas of science and technology. Research areas include conventional subjects in natural science such as basic science, nanotechnology, biotechnology, pharmacy, medicine, engineering, health science, agriculture, management and etc. Papers relating directly or indirectly to all aspects of these fields are welcome. The journal is intended to provide a forum for expression of new ideas, as well as a place for exposition of these areas of knowledge.

Rojava Journal of Science and Technology — Vol. 3 No. 1 (2026) brings together a diverse collection of peer-reviewed contributions addressing contemporary challenges across science, technology, engineering, medicine, environmental science, and biotechnology.
This issue presents 13 scholarly articles covering a broad range of topics, including scientific resilience and open science in conflict-affected and resource-limited regions; flood resilience and socio-hydrological governance; petroleum engineering and oil-recovery prediction; diabetes, kidney disease, cardiovascular disease, and obesity-related health risks in populations living in North and East Syria; advanced nanocomposite materials for water treatment and dye removal; computational optimization and algorithm development; electric-vehicle power-conversion systems; gas-sensor technologies; and the isolation and characterization of probiotic microorganisms from North and East Syria.
Together, these contributions demonstrate the importance of interdisciplinary research in addressing scientific, technological, environmental, and health-related challenges at both regional and international levels. The issue also highlights the role of scientific research in developing practical solutions, advancing innovation, strengthening evidence-based knowledge, and supporting scientific cooperation across diverse research environments.
